Product Information

Strip, insert, heat — and the splice is done. These solder seal wire connectors combine the bond and the seal in one pass of heat, so you're not choosing between a solid joint and a weather seal the way a bare crimp or tape makes you.

Inside each clear tube is a low-temp solder ring and a dual-wall shrink body with adhesive that seals the ends. Apply even heat and the solder flows around the copper strands while the tube shrinks down and its adhesive closes the ends. Four color-coded sizes span 26–10 AWG, so there's a fit for thin signal wire, 12V accessories, and heavier runs alike. Best for low-voltage DC wiring repairs — support the wires so the joint isn't under tension.

What's in the Kit
  • White connectors — 26–24 AWG for thin signal and LED wire
  • Red connectors — 22–18 AWG for most 12V accessory wiring
  • Blue connectors — 16–14 AWG for heavier accessory runs
  • Yellow connectors — 12–10 AWG for heavier-gauge wire
  • Snap-lid organizer case with the color/gauge chart on the lid

Match your wire to the chart on the lid. Piece count depends on the kit size you choose: 50, 100, 250, or 500 connectors.

Make a splice that actually holds. These solder seal wire connectors bond and seal your wires in one pass of heat — strip the ends, slide one into each side, and heat. Each one is a dual-wall heat-shrink butt connector with a low-temp solder ring (flows at 138°C/280°F) inside clear polyolefin tubing, in four sizes for wire from 26 to 10 AWG. As the solder flows around the copper strands, the tube shrinks down and its adhesive seals the ends, helping keep moisture out of trailer lights, marine runs, and 12V accessory wiring. Four sizes come in a labeled snap-lid case. Built for low-voltage DC wiring repairs on cars, boats, trailers, and RVs — just add a heat gun (not included).

Does This Sound Familiar?

If your splices keep failing in the same spots, you're not imagining it.

😤 "My crimp splices keep working loose on bumpy roads." 🌧️ "Taped joints corroded and cut out after one rainy season." 🔧 "No room to run a soldering iron under the dash."
Loose corroded wire splice next to BOLTHUT solder seal connectors
🚐 "Trailer lights flicker every time I hit a pothole." 🔁 "I'm tired of redoing the same splice twice." ❄️ "Salt and snow killed my plow wiring last winter."

You don't need a steadier hand — you need a splice that bonds and seals in one shot.

Why the Usual Fixes Don't Last

Electrical tape peeling off a wire splice Electrical tape Unwinds in engine-bay heat and lets moisture creep into the joint.
Loose crimp butt connector on stranded wire Standard crimp connectors An incorrectly sized or poorly made crimp can loosen — and adds no seal of its own.
Twist-on wire nut used on automotive wiring Twist-on wire nuts Built for dry indoor runs — not for a shaking, wet vehicle.
Hand soldering a wire joint with a bulky iron Hand-soldering Takes more setup and still leaves a bare joint you have to seal separately.

A bare crimp or tape asks you to pick between a strong bond OR a weather seal. This kit gives you both in one heating step.

Precision Where It Counts — Inside the Tube

Every connector does two jobs in one pass of heat: bond the copper, then seal the joint.

That's the difference between a repair you trust and one you revisit.

  • Low-temp solder ring · Adhesive dual-wall tube · Color-coded sizing · Clear body
BOLTHUT Solder Seal Wire Connectors - Hero Feature | BOLTHUT

The Centered Solder Ring

A band of low-temp solder sits in the middle of the tube.

Flows at 138°C / 280°F

With even heat it flows around the copper strands before the tube over-heats.

The result is a metal-to-metal join, not just a mechanical grip.

  • ↳ Melts at 138°C/280°F · Flows into the copper · Metal-to-metal bond

Dual-Wall Tubing That Seals

The outer wall shrinks while an inner adhesive layer melts.

Shrinks from 80°C / 176°F

That adhesive closes around the wire insulation on both ends.

Moisture, salt, and grime are kept out of the splice.

  • ↳ Adhesive-lined · Shrinks at 80°C/176°F · Closes both ends

Color-Coded, No Guesswork

Four colors map to four wire-gauge ranges.

Covers 26–10 AWG

Match your wire to the band and you've got the right size.

White for thin signal wire up to yellow for heavier-gauge lines.

  • ↳ White 26–24 · Red 22–18 · Blue 16–14 · Yellow 12–10 AWG

A Joint You Can Check

The tube is clear, so nothing about the splice is hidden.

See the solder set

You watch the solder flow and the walls close as you heat.

You can confirm the solder flowed instead of crimping blind.

  • ↳ Clear body · Visible solder flow · Easy to inspect

Four Steps, One Pass of Heat

How to Make the Splice

1

Strip & Tidy

Strip about 1/3" on each wire end and lightly twist each end's own strands so they don't fray.

2

Pick the Color

Match your wire gauge to the color band and grab that connector.

3

Insert Both Ends

Slide one wire into each side so the bare ends overlap under the center solder ring.

4

Heat to Seal

Heat and rotate until the solder flows and the tube shrinks tight. Before any wiring, disconnect the battery, use the exact fuse rating the kit calls for, ground to bare metal, and see a pro if you're unsure.
